Barbie girl is soon to be part of the real world now, or should we say that we’re going to be part of the Barbie world soon? Anyone on social media in the past couple of weeks knows about the new ‘Barbie’ movie that was under production until recently.
The film is set to come out in 2023, but the pictures we currently have of the movie, directed by Greta Gerwig, are feeding our souls. Robbie plays the titular character in the movie, and everyone seems to be raving about the casting for months.
Robbie has risen to fame since her big break alongside Leonardo DiCaprio in “Wolf of Wall Street.” The movie is titled after Margot’s character, so it seems fair to assume that people are walking in to watch Robbie act.

Robbie is getting a whopping $12.5 million for her role as Barbie. Her costar, seasoned actor Ryan Gosling is also being paid the same amount for playing Ken to Barbie. An equal pay standard is still something you don’t often see in Hollywood. However, Margot Robbie’s finally getting paid close to what she’s worth, and that’s necessary and wonderful to witness. The $12.5 million cheque for Barbie makes Robbie the highest-paid actress of the year 2022. This money is quite the departure from what the highest-paid male actress got.

Tom Cruise, the highest-paid actor in 2022, got paid $100 Million for the reprisal of his role in “Top Gun: Maverick.” Doing the math is pretty simple in this case. For every dollar a man makes, a woman would earn 12.5 cents, which is the disparity you don’t want to see going into 2023.
CASTING FOR THE ‘BARBIE’ MOVIE
Even with all that we know about the movie and the pictures leaked so far, there is still some mystery to unfold. Another aspect that sets the film apart is how perfect the casting is. Margot Robbie plays Barbie, and the role of Skipper, Barbie’s younger sister, is played by none other than Emma Mackey.
